Hi doctors... Last month 2nd i was infected with dengue with fever over 103 degree and my platelet level after 4th day had reduced to 20000. They had to do 2 unit of platelet transfusion. I was in hospital for 5 days and on the day of diacharge my platelet level were 95 k. Further follow ups in coming days showed platelet level reaching 3.5 lakhs. But my liver enzymer were really high. 206 sgpt and 112 sgot. Finally after talking liver medicine for 1 week my liver emzymes were back to normal.
Now exactly after 1 month i have fever again
.it started with 99 degree in evening and now its 102. For last 2 days i had pain in one side of throat but it was bearable. I am worried if i am infected with dengue again. Please help rather than asking to consult. It would be of great relief

Dengue with liver infection, is mostly dengue induced liver failure
Do the liver profile again
Donot stop the medication
U have to repeat the profile every 1 month
Avoid spicy, oily food completely
It could be a flu with usual sore throat or bacterial pharyngitis or tonsillitis.Do remember that a previous infection with dengue doesn't give an immunity,it could be recurring with different serotype.Consult with a general physician in your area.
