Fever after giving ORS

Asked for Male, 2 Years

My son had fever since 6 hours. From 12 hour befrom he had dehydration (diarrhea) doctor suggested to give ORS we done the same, after giving 1 hour of ORS, baby body temperature started high, please suggest what to do? His fever come down.

Ors per say would not cause any rise in temperature. It will help in adequate hydration, please continue with ORS if baby is not taking any liquids or food, please give syrup paracetamol (dose as per his weight) every 6 hours. That will reduce his fever.
