Fertile window and chances of conception
Hello doctor. My wife is 20 years old and has a 26 day cycle. She has a regular cycle. Her last period was on October 5 2022. Her next period is on 31st October. On calculating, her ovulation date was well before 20th October. Her PMS started on 20th. We had unprotected sex on 21st afternoon 3pm. We don't want to conceive right now. I think I failed to withdraw as the semen dripped while withdrawal on her vagina due to heat of the moment. We washed ourselves after that and did it again with protection. We're scared if some of my semen in her vaginal canal wasn't washed away and has been carried up. We aren't in a position to conceive right now. So she had unwanted 72 by 6pm on 22nd(25-28 hours after sex). After taking the pill, I came to know that it delays ovulation. Since the ovulation has already happened and she's in her PMS, we're scared if the emergency contraceptive doesn't work. What should we do now? We're confused regarding the fertile window and PMS situation. please help.
