Hi...the recurrent clearing of throat at regular intervals and foreign body sensation in the throat is because of a condition called Laryngopharyngeal reflux....caused due to reflux of stomach acid into the throat. You will have to visit an ENT for the same for evaluation to look for any changes of chronic reflux. In the meantime you can start antacids.
Health Tips
-Avoid oily and spicy food -Avoid excess consumption of tea/coffee -Keep a gap of three hours between your last meal at night and your bedtime.
