I have been getting this irritable sensation of something constantly stuck in my throat. it's not food, but rather feels like phelum. i don't feel acidic:, but to get rid of this sensation , I keep burping purposely. it's been 4-5 days since I have been feeling like this. I googled the symptoms and globus pharyngis popped up. I showed the same to the another doctor and he gave me an acid reflux gel syrup. no relief yet . need advice on the next steps.

Your symptoms are clearly suggestive of reflux laryngopharyngitis which is type of acidity related disorder. You may not have any symptoms of acidity but still reflux laryngopharyngitis can occur. Treatment usually includes anti reflux tablets such as omez or nexpro. It may have to be taken for many days for prolonged benefit
