Feeling of suffering from Depression
Doctor, From the last few months i feel i am very stressed out & and at times i feel i am just good for nothing. I got married almost 2 years ago, living in a joint family with inlaws, the first one year was very good me & my husband were happy for most of the times. But in the second year, we shifted our home & our privacy went for a toss. Also i changed my job 7 months back & I am not liking my current job, hence stressed out because of that as well. I have lost around 8kgs in last few months. I guess i am hardly social now. I really don't feel like coming back to home after my day is over at office. I keep sitting in my office even after my day is over. I have lost my focus over things and work. I really feel that i am in state of depression. Would need some advice from your end .

Feeling low, having crying spells, sleep and appetite disturbances, and difficulty in concentration and attention are some of the signs of Depression. Consult a Psychiatrist for a detailed assessment. It is likely with medication and counseling the symptoms will improve. If you are feeling suicidal or hopeless consult a Psychiatrist immediately.

I am able to understand how u must b feeling. Many of the symptoms which u have mentioned is seen in people with depression and anxiety. Not knowing how to cope with stress can lead to such difficulties. Depression makes a person sensitive and irritable to things which they were able to tolerate before and lead to interpersonal problems. V would need to know few more details like ur sleep, hunger, energy levels, interest etc to give appropriate suggestions. Depression reduces the concentration, motivation and interest in a person. Anxiety can cause bodily symptoms like palpitations tremors sweating etc. Dont feel bad, it's not ur fault. It usually occurs because of chemical or hormonal changes in the brain. Ur problems can easily be treated with counselling and if needed medications. Don't let ur problems affect ur personal or family life. U can also consult me online directly through the practo chat option. Best wishes for speedy recovery!!
