Hi, Yes, we feel guilty when we do something which is not supposed to do. But you are one of the best mom I ever seen. Your intention is not to hurt your son, you wanted to give him practice. Instead you can try different ways. Teach him by some playful methods. Due to covid, your son's early education wil be through online mode. This may also affect child's behaviour at school.    Now, after holidays schools started just one month before. Give him some time. After all he is a child, let his child energy to cherish. Think how differently you should react next time, when similar situation arises?

I understand that you are feeling overwhelmed and guilty about the situation with your son. It's essential to remember that every child is unique and may have different learning styles or challenges. Yelling and putting excessive pressure on a young child can be counterproductive and detrimental to their emotional well-being. Here are some steps you can take to stop yelling at your son and create a more supportive learning environment: Apologize and communicate: Talk to your son about your feelings and apologize for yelling at him. Let him know that you didn't handle the situation well and that you'll work on being more patient and understanding. Understand his perspective: Try to understand why he may be struggling to write in school. Talk to his teacher to gain insights into his behavior and performance in the classroom. This will help you find the best approach to support him. Encourage, don't force: Instead of forcing him to sit for long hours to write, try to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere at home. Offer praise and rewards for his efforts, no matter how small they may be. Break tasks into smaller steps: If writing seems challenging for him, break the task into smaller, manageable steps. Gradually increase the difficulty as he gains confidence. Provide a comfortable workspace: Ensure he has a comfortable and distraction-free area to study and do his homework. Use creative learning methods: Make learning fun and engaging by incorporating games, drawing, or other creative activities that promote writing skills. Be patient and supportive: Recognize that learning takes time, and every child learns at their own pace. Patience and support from parents play a crucial role in a child's development.

Hi, You are not alone, every parent gets frustrated with their little ones and lose their cool. There is no rule book for the best way to parent your child . So, rely on the experiences you have with your child understanding him , be empathetic so he can share what’s on his mind , his experiences- emotions . You will get to know and understand the underlying reasons for your child not writing in school and manage it effectively with his teachers at school . After being upset with him and both of you are calmer . -1. Tell him you love him . 2. Do something fun together. 3. Relate to him 4. Show him you love him.

Firstly, please understand that this is quite normal and it’s important to handle this situation with patience and understanding. Your son is writing at home which indicates he doesn’t really have issues in writing but is only reluctant writing at school and there could be several factors behind it. It could be related to his comfort level in the school l, the classroom environment, teaching style, differences in learning atmosphere or even potential challenges in writing (in case he is not writing at home as well). Every child is different! Hence, you need to have an open and empathetic conversation with him without forcing him into doing anything. Also, inform his teachers to be a bit soft on him till he gets acclimatised, and work with them as a team. Feel free to reach out 1:1 for a personalised session or guidance. You are doing good, just hang in there :)
Next Steps
Explore his interests and engage him in writing activities using creative ways at home to practice.
Health Tips
Celebrate small achievements to motivate and reward him

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing with regulating your anger and reactions toward your son's school performance. It's essential to be aware of your emotions and find healthy ways to cope with them. If you feel overwhelmed or find it hard to manage your emotions, consider seeking support from friends, family, or a parenting group. Talking to someone about your feelings can be helpful, and they may offer valuable advice and understanding. Try to take moments for yourself to decompress and calm down before addressing any issues with your son. Practice deep breathing or other relaxation techniques to help manage stress and prevent reacting impulsively.
Next Steps
Remember, seeking professional help, such as counseling or therapy, can also provide valuable tools to cope with emotions and improve communication with your child. You're not alone, and there's no shame in seeking assistance when needed.
Health Tips
Focus on building a positive and supportive relationship with your son, and try to approach situations with patience and understanding. Parenting can be challenging, but seeking help and practicing self-care can make a significant difference in managing emotions and reactions.
