Most probably it might be due to tooth cavity/ decay. Extraction or RCT can be decided only after proper evaluation.
Next Steps
Get a dentist appointment and take x-ray if advised

There maybe an underlying infection in your tooth and below the tooth. This would require further treatment. Whether or not to get an RCT or Extraction depends on the condition of the tooth .
Next Steps
X-ray and further dental procedure after seeing the x-ray
Health Tips
For now avoid any warm fomentation or balms or creams or warm water gargle.
