Feel sleepy and tired
He feels sleepy and tired entire day though slept well at night.gets sleep at night as well.Doesnt feel like doing any work.Thinking has become slow.unable to plan out things and does not remember things. But there is no problem in remembering regular things.Feels tired specially in mornings.Gets better in evenings. Speaks less and now finds difficulty in getting the right word. Though symptons point towards depression- it is also possible that there is some deficiency. Can u guide as to what the problem could be and whom to consult in this. When u consult a psychologist he simply tries to solve each problem stated individually rather than identifying the single rootcause leading to all above problems.Which kind of specialist can truly help in this

You are right to pinpoint that it may be depression. The nutritional deficiencies could be leading to depression. Best to seek help from a psychiatrist. A psychologist s role may be needed later, but for now a psychiatrist would be your one stop.

Dear sir, This most likely is a description of a depressive syndrome. The person discussed will most likely need a treatment with antidepressants at the earliest. Also, comorbidities will need to be taken care off, like deficiencies of vitamins, hormonal imbalances etc. The role of counselling and psychotherapists comes later, once the acute symptoms are controlled. so, Please meet a psychiatrist at the earliest and get your person treated.
