Feeding volume
I am giving top feed to my son. How much I should feed formula to my 2 months old baby. Or should I maintain 2 hrs gap and give him 60 ml each time or should I consider demand feeding always, whenever he is hungry i should give him 60ml.? Sometimes Dr says depending upon baby's weight we should feed him.if baby is 4 kg then provide him with 400 ml of feed during entire day. Kindly recommend.

Demand feeding is recommended. The baby will decide the quantity. Also you should not force formula when baby is refusing it otherwise he will vomit. If he is gaining weight, don't worry about exact quantity. Roughly 100ml per kilogram baby weight per day is ok as told by your dr but it's very variable

babies will feed about every 2 to 4 hours. Some babies may feed as often as every hour at times, often called cluster feeding. Or may have a longer sleep interval of 4 to 5 hours. How often your baby feeds might change depending on the time of day. Some feeding sessions may be long, and others short. That is okay. Babies will generally take what they need at each feeding and stop eating when they are full. They should seem content and drowsy after feeding when they have had enough milk. Your baby will demand feed about 6 to 8 times in 24 hours.

Demand feeding is best. There is no specified quantity but how much the child wants, child should be fed. Make sure to burp and practice tummy time. Weight gain also should be monitored.
