Fed up of the work culture
I have been working for a firm since 2017, I am grateful for what i have learned and gained knowledge from the firm and as well as from the employer. So basically i am an introvert person, what the employer gives me work i have done and presented in due time. Seeing this he used to burden me with workloads and less pay. But i did not care because i was mainly focusing on learning things and the situation. But as the time changed he used to give me alot of works at a same time which feels frustrated and i couldn't be able blast over him. So i have decided to leave the firm few months back giving reason as Financial Conditions but the actual reason was work torture which i should not place over my notice period letter as it may hurt him so i did not go for it. He then increased my pay and put again work on work. Now i am feeling very much frustrated over him, i think he is using and extracting things from me. I am also a normal human, I can't match the level what he thinks.

Thank you for reaching out.It seems toh do have potential and can do better in the field of work and it's also not new how senior misuse or exploits their juniors or employees but it is even obvious that you haven't put forward your concern. I understand it could be really difficult but you will need to muster courage and learn some assertive skills. Other thing you can do is to have someone at work who can be supportive colleague and someone you can trust so you feel better about your work. Try to explain your senior about how much you can do,if that's not possible then atleast learn to say no when things are piling up and maintain your work record. All these things will be able to be done once you feel confident and be assertive. Also, take it as lesson, you will come across such people, staying quiet will only affect your mental and physical health. Speak where required and ignore where you can, remember you don't have to burn the bridges rather keep it safe for you.

Hi, It sounds like you have been taken advantage of by your employer, who has been overwhelming you with workloads and not compensating you fairly. It's important to prioritize your own mental and emotional well-being, so it's good that you made the decision to leave the firm. It's unfortunate that your employer responded by increasing your pay but continuing to overload you with work. It's important to remember that you have the right to speak up and set boundaries in the workplace. It may be worth having a conversation with your employer about the workload and pay situation, expressing how it is affecting you and discussing potential solutions. If the situation does not improve, it may be necessary to consider seeking opportunities elsewhere where you can feel more valued and respected. Remember, your well-being is important and it's okay to prioritize that.

Work life problems / stress / high expectation of employee & employer / manpower / poor infrastructure etc. Have always remained Major Challenges from ages and are always part of job be it be any private or govt. secor.  Employees give best but management keep increase the expectation bar. E.g. u will ask a boy who has scored 58% mark to improve and get 1st class with 60% but for a boy who has failed - we expect him to just pass the exam. Employee - employer relation also goes like that. They try to get best out of employee and also overload. As per ILO there have been set standards but none of pvt. Co. Follow but in Govt sect.industeical engineering study applies. U have not given adequate information as to Your position, Type of Work and style of work, timings, related stress, size of  team / size of company,, work culture, training schedules, etc. Your issue has less psychology issue and more MANAGEMENT issues. Remember - Such challenges will not leave u even if u leave job and join other company. Need for strengthening your capabilities and also proving your best / not allowing nonsense / not behaving like bonded labour. Every company has hierarchy to report issues. Management also knows some supervisors mis behaviour and HR have employees issue- redresaal cells. If u need any training that also can be demanded to management. If u wish a break take a long leave and spend time as  healthy holiday. Have courage seek peer support/ team management and when u give presentation prove your abilities citing examples. I am sure of slow and steady positive changes. Also highlight your achievements / issues / support needed etc. In performance report or presentation. Apart from being psychologist, The writer has remained HOD controlling all India Operations in a Major company and fully aware of pvt. Govt. Small industry ang major organisations work culture. Hello, You are currently feeling stressed out about your work condition. It is quite understandable. A good and clear conversation with your boss about your state of mind is essential. If he values your work and presence in the organisation, he will understand. Working with a feeling of being manipulated and not well compensated cannot lead to productivity or work satisfaction as well. Take a break, distance yourself from the situation and objectively delve in your needs and priorities. You can consider exploring a new role, responsibilty in the same organization or outside, that will help you grow. You are grateful and empathetic, hence avoiding hurting your employer which is appreciable .You can avert burnout, or an unhealthy exit by expressing your expectations in a clear and assertive manner. This shall be mutually respectful of your work relation over the years. Counseling sessions shall be beneficial in navigating through such situations effectively. Wish you luck and success! You can consult for further professional guidance. Happy Healthy Living!

I do understand your situation. Many employers who believe that they need to utilise everything at their command to extract maximum returns from them treat their employees like the way you are getting treated. Many running business organisations are yet to realise the fast-changing socio-economic conditions world over in which human relations management plays a big role. In your case, I would suggest you to follow the 'one foot on ground' principle in career management. You need to have a job in hand (either working or confirmed to be employed) always when you search for another one or when you decide to quit. Please try for another suitable job, get a reliable offer letter in hand and then resign from the current job. You may find it difficult to ensure this, but this is a wise thing to do.
