Febrile convulsion
My baby is 9 months 16 days old .Her weight is 8 kg. At 7 months she had fever along with 2 /1 mnt convulsion. Yesterday she had fever 101.1..Doc asked to give paracetamol n clobazam .. Fever is not there right now.But doc told us to continue clobazam for 3 days ( 2 times, 1.5 ml) .. Why should I continue clobazam if she has no fever? Is it like antibiotics so that we need to complete the course? Pls answer

At onset of fever , patients with past history of febrile seizure have tendency to have repeat seizure. Clobazam is an anti seizure prophylaxis may be given by some pediatricians to prevent recurrence . For further queries , ucan search my profile or WhatsApp on 94517086 one five
