Fatty liver
I am in abroad before 15 days I have done ultrasound report came Liver: Appears normal in size (13.3 cm), shape and shows diffuse increased echogenicity. No focal lesion seen. No IHBR dilatation seen. • Portal vein and CBD appears normal • Grade II fatty infiltration of liver. No significant abnormality detected. No cholelithiasis before taking this test I took alcohol weekly twice from two weeks I have stopped alcohol now weekly once I am taking alcohol please explain me is this reversible?

Yes, fatty liver is potentially reversible: follow a low fat diet ( avoid fried oily foods), regular exercise and weight reduction ( if overweight or obese). Complete abstinence from alcohol. Also for fatty liver get following blood tests done: 1) complete liver profile ( LFTs) 2) HBsAg and Anti HCV 3) S. TSH 4) FBS and 5) S. lipid profile. You can meet a Gastroenterologist with above reports or do an online video consultation
