Fatty Liver Grade 2/3
Hi Sir/ Madam, I was diagnosed with fatty liver grade 2/3, ALT 91.0, AST 76.0, Alkaline phosphatase 99.0, T.bilirubin 1.22, D. 0.30, IB 0.92 on 17th January. No other oabdominal complications. But right upper abdomen pain...on and off. Prescribed Obstella 5mg once a day and Evion 400 twice a day. I have lost 15kgs with exercise and diet in 65 days. Now my ALT 43.0, AST 44, T.bilirubin 0.89, D. 0.24, IB. 0.65. Alkaline phosphatase 123. I'm experiencing right upper abdomen pain but less. Skin tone is improved. My doubts: My ultrasound is scheduled on 17th April. Should I wait or can get it done anytime? Also, is my condition improving on the basis of LFTs? How long can I use Obstela and Evion as I'm worried about side effects with prolonged use.

Whoa, that's a lot clear thought process. You seem to have done really well for your fatty liver. Yes, do get an USG abdomen, LFT and a FIBROSCAN (important) from your Gastroenterologist. Further treatment can be stopped if there is improvement in all parameters.
