Fasting Sugar 101.6 mg/dL
My fasting blood sugar is 101.6 mg/dL and HbA1c is 5.8 % Can you please guide me how can I control this as per the prescribed limit according to my age. Kindly guide us in this matter what to eat and what not to eat and exercise etc.

HbA1C is gold standard to diagnose prediabetes/ diabetes. Your value suggests prediabetes. This has chance 15% of progressing to diabetes with each passing year in absence of intervention. Lifestyle management, diet and exercise is first step to help reverse this condition and prevent development of diabetes. Avoid refined carbohydrates sugars white bread, rice, potatoes, sweets , pasta, pizza,fried food, , juices and cold drinks. Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables, pulses and Exercise 30 min( cardio ( walking, jogging, swimming + lifting weight) a day at least 5 days a week Weight loss of at least 10% in 6 months should be helpful
