I am mentally ill.. and on SSRIs . Can i do fasting for 1 day? . Because i think I am not strong enough emotionally now

Firstly, If you are on SSRIs, you should be emotionally better, ask your clinician to optimise treatment further. SSRIs are known to cause gastric upset, especially Fluoxetine, so taking it while fasting might be annoying. If you still can't avoid it, take a capsule of Pantoprazole and domperidone (combination) half an hour before taking SSRIs.

Hello As far as fasting is concerned, you should take your medicine with the diet. There is no harm in fasting but you should take care of medicine too cos taking it empty stomach can cause gastric upset which can increase on fasting. So take pantoprazole empty stomach on that particular day also. Thanks
