My mother needs to go through eye operation, but in counselling it has has asked for medical clearance from physician for operation to take place

Physician opinion is sought to make sure that she does not has any uncontrolled systemic disease which may affect outcome of surgery or which may cause disturbance during surgery like diabetes, hypertension, asthma etc

Eye surgery is almost always an elective surgery. Surgery is advisable when her general condition is good .. if she is suffering from any pre existing conditions then an opinion from physician/ specialist is required
