Eye floaters and pregnancy
Doctor, I am 8 month pregnant and I have eye floaters since my childhood. At day time, and in light I find long spiral shapes and even round shape floaters moving in front. It doesn't create any kind of problem in my vision. I have sent for check up also 2 years back, doctor dilate my eyes for examination to see. The growth of eye floaters is always same in my case, doctor suggested me not to apply pressure, even in constipation. Now as I am at the urge of delivering child, I want to go for normal delivery.... But now my question is can I go for normal delivery, as I will have to apply lots of pressure while going through this option, so will it harm or damage my eyes due to pressure Or I should go for c section, due to my eye floaters condition. Kindly suggest.

If your floaters have been stable,do not worry. You can get a dilated fundus examination done to check the present retinal health status . Plan for a normal delivery.

Floater per say are not a contra indication for normal delivery. Please proceed for a normal delivery only, if everything with tha baby and your pregnancy is normal. Do you have high myopia? (Eye power in minus number.?) If so do a detailed retina check up after your delivery.(Even high myopia is not contra indication for a normal delivery)
