I have myopia with -5 and -4 powers in right and left eye resp. Recebtly u have been seeing flashes. I have retinal degeneration and i have consulted 4 doctors. Two said go for barrage lazer and two said go for surgery if retina detaches else stay under observation.
Should i wait or get this precautionary barrage lazer done? I am 28 years old and if barrage lazer is done should it be done at one go in both eyes or in two three sittings. Please suggest

retinal detachment is a very serious problem it's treatment ,though possible but results are uncertain eve in best hands. you will agree with the proverb 'precaution is better than cure '.and for a sight threatening problem it's more judicious. the decision of performing it in one sitting or multiple sittings depends upon the are involved and that decision has to be taken by the person (doctor)who is performing it .I think I m clear
