Nearsightedness is not associated with foreign body sensation. The cause of your symptoms could be multiple including allergic conjunctivitis and dry eye due to increased screen time. You could also have misdirected lashes which is leading to rubbing against eyeball. Start with eye drops refresh tears 4 times a day and genteal gel once at night. Consider physical or online consultation if no improvement.

Do you have a lot of screen time ? Do you use contact lenses ? If you feel some foreign body or hair like sensation probably you have dry eye disease. Avoid splashing water as it disturbs the tear film.
Next Steps
use artificial tear drops with carboxymethyl cellulose 0.5% 3 to 4 times a day in both eyes. reduce screen time and use glasses with arc
Health Tips
use these drops for a week and if the sensation still persists or eyes remain red then you shlud go for a in person consultation as you will need complete dry eye evaluation

Do cold compression, do not splash water in your eyes, it will further cause dryness..see If something falls in your eyes ,first aid is to wash with water, other than that do not excessively splash water in your eyes. Temporarily you can use lubricating eye drops. And it has to evaluated further.
Next Steps
1)blink often. 2)follow 20-20-20 rule, to relax your eyes, 3)try closing your eyes for minimum 30 seconds ,after every 15 to 20 min of excessive near work. 4) try minimizing use of phones and laptops excessively. incase you can't reduce use of gadgets bec of work, try change the display settings of them, increase font size, reduce the colors  temperature etc etc.
