The cost of orthodontic treatment, including braces, can vary based on several factors, including the location, the complexity of the case, the orthodontist's experience, the type of braces used, and the duration of treatment. It's not uncommon to find differences in treatment costs when moving from one location to another, even if the treatment plan seems similar.
Here are a few reasons why you might be experiencing a difference in cost for your braces treatment in Gurgaon compared to Pune:
Location Cost Variation: Dental care costs can vary significantly based on the cost of living and general expenses in a particular area. Gurgaon may have higher overall healthcare costs compared to Pune, which could contribute to the difference in treatment fees.
Orthodontist Experience: The experience and reputation of the orthodontist can influence the cost. Highly experienced orthodontists may charge more for their expertise.
Type of Braces: Different types of braces (metal, ceramic, lingual, clear aligners, etc.) have different costs. If the type of braces used in Gurgaon is different from what you had in Pune, this could impact the overall cost.
Treatment Plan Differences: Even if the brackets are already in place, the treatment plan might involve different steps, wire changes, adjustments, and overall treatment duration. This can influence the cost.
Clinic Overheads: The operational costs of the dental clinic, including rent, staff salaries, equipment, and facilities, can affect treatment pricing.
Material Costs: The cost of orthodontic materials, including wires and brackets, can vary, and this might be reflected in the treatment cost.
When you receive a treatment quote from a new orthodontist, it's a good idea to ask for a breakdown of the costs and discuss any differences you notice compared to your previous treatment plan. This can help you understand what factors are contributing to the price variation.
It's important to choose an orthodontist based on their expertise, reputation, and the quality of care they provide rather than solely on cost. Orthodontic treatment is a significant investment in your oral health and appearance, so make sure you feel comfortable with the treatment plan and the orthodontist you choose. If you have concerns about the cost, it's also worth getting a second opinion from another orthodontist in the area to ensure that the treatment recommendations and costs align.

Dear patient , although the dental braces are in place , there usually will be a full fee. The fee is for the orthodontic treatment and NOT for the material or product. The more the experience and expertise of a Specialist Orthodontist the higher will be the fee. Hope this helped.
Much understood! Talk your concern out with your dentist.
However if the results of your Ortho treatment are not as desired then the dentist may have to put in the efforts right from the start. However, it’s less likely after a year of treatment. It would be better that you discuss the duration and process of treatment with you treating dentist.
