Hi...look your mother needs a guidance on the way to get up from bed and sit ...so that there will be less pressure on her backbone...then she has to learn what to avoid...and what to do...to protect her spine from getting worse..for which patient education is most...and somewhat as a family attendant...family members should also be concerned...by knowing pros and cons..
Next Steps
Yes there are so many easy and simple streching exercises by which she will be cured with no more such tingling and she can wear any comfortable wear too...
Health Tips
Avoid carrying too much load ....like lifting bucket while bending down or any heavy weight...then never let her sit in same position for long period..then while sitting..make sure her back should be supported...consult me ...for complete treatment protocol...thanku

Your mother’s symptoms are due to nerve compression from lumbar spinal stenosis. Physiotherapy can help reduce pain and improve function through specific decompression exercises, nerve gliding, and posture correction.
Next Steps
It's essential to get a personalized assessment.
Health Tips
Please visit me or a physiotherapist for a tailored treatment and home program.

I need to check the MRI and do a proper assessment to rule out the extent of the problem, after which an appropriate plan for exercise can be done, personalised exercise planning will help to reduce pain by avoiding undue exercise in a pre-set exercise plan.

The symptoms of posterior leg tingling, foot discomfort, and difficulty with steps, slopes, and footwear suggest nerve compression that worsens with certain positions or activities
Next Steps
Knee-to-chest stretches  to relieve pressure on the spinal nerves. Hold for 15-20 seconds, 5-10 reps. Short, frequent walks with a walker or cane, avoiding slopes or stairs initially. Start with 5-10 minutes, increasing gradually. Seated forward bends or hamstring stretches to improve flexibility without aggravating symptoms. Gentle pelvic tilts or isometric abdominal contractions  to support the lower back.
Health Tips
Avoid extension-based activities as they may worsen stenosis. Stop if tingling or leg weakness increases. Use flat, supportive footwear.

This would require a detailed assessment and history. Later a program need to be planned according to her strength, sensations, mobility and other factors. This will need a physical consult. Please contact a physiotherapist nearby and get a thorough assessment done. You may continue the treatment later offline/online.
