Sometimes the blood vessels in the head and eyes can become inflamed from a condition called Giant Cell Arteritis. At your age and based on the ESR and your eye symptoms, please see Eye doctor as this condition does need treatment urgently with steroids to avoid loss of eyesight or risk of stroke. All the best.
