Hi Dr During routie checkup of my father his USG report revealed enlarge prostate grade 3 weight 52g. He is currently taking Prostagard D8. Is it necessary to get him operated for the same or he can continue with medicine. Thanks

He needs to be evaluated properly regarding his prostate issues If possible kindly share uroflometry report, serum PSA and usg images If symptoms improved on medications and psa is in normal range and his flow is alright than he can continue the medications !! In that case currently no need to operate but still may be in future he may require surgery
