Hello doctor, I need to consult an Endocrinologist for Gynecomastia and some other hormonal problems like low libido, ED, obesity...etc...But now only I came to know that, only female endocrinologist available at the hospital nearest to me. My doubt is, Will a female endocrinologist treat a male patient?.. or should I consult a male endocrinologist...Please help me. Thank you.

my dear you seem to have metabolic synrome -that is development of insulin resistance which presents as obesity{its mostly truncal},increasing body fat ,and sexual dysfunction develops secandory to obesity as male hormone that is testasterone starts converting to female hormone that is estrogen in presence of excess fat as fat has the enzyme aromatase which does it and people with metab syndrome have excess of it.please get your bp checked ,get your hormones checked

Usually all doctors consult patients of either sex. You should go ahead and consult the endocrinologist. However if you have the option, you can inform the hospital OPD beforehand about your prime reason for the consultation so they can speak to the doctor before confirming the appointment.
