Emergency
This is about my sister. She has anger attack today and completely out of control.Been few months, she is not ready to visit psychiatrist. She gets anger attacks in the last few months and breaks a few things at home and today she is out of control. She has other medical conditions too like pcos and dental infections recently. So been suffering with ailments recently. She has had anxiety attacks before sometimes too. Today it is more extreme. She is hitting family members and threatening to harm herself with knife. Still not ready to visit any doc and is violent. Would like to consult a doctor online and get the prescription for SOS medicine. Tried to call emergency department of hospital in navi Mumbai but they do not handle psychiatry related emergency cases. Please advise urgently what should be done before she harms herself or harms anyone else.

Hi, This situation needs you to handle it a little more carefully. There are certain Mental Health Laws that prevent advising medication SOS in such cases. Since there is a threat to herself and people around her, I'd suggest you reach out to a local Psychiatrist who will tell you how to go about it. Police are usually very helpful if you want to get her to a hospital. You can use their help depending on how bad the situation is. There will be doctors who may agree to do a home visit. Medical colleges are always open to take violent patients. I hope this helps. Take care.
