Ectopic Pregnancy. I am very confused!

I had chemical pregnancy in October. Even though Hcg was present in low quantity doctor said that I am not pregnant nor informed us that it was chemical pregnancy. As we thought maybe it was false positive we did not take much precaution and immediately next month I conceived and It was sadly ectopic which had to be immediately operated and removed my fallopian tube. She could not even tell why the pregnancy became ectopic. I no longer consult that doctor. Now I am very confused regarding how to approach for future planning. I am overweight and diagnosed With PCOD. What is future pregnancy course of action taken after 1 ectopic pregnancy and fallopian tube removal and can I conceive successfully next time? Please guide.
