I did a cartilage ear piercing back in February. However, I have developed a bump near the piercing. I'm not sure if it's growing in size but it seems itchy and irritable at times but not extremely painful though. If I happen to remove the earring, will the piercing close and the bump go away without any infection or complications?

Small bump after 2 months with itching might be a keloid or hypertrophic scar.
Since you mention it is growing in size you should show it to a plastic surgeon who specializes in treating ear keloids.
Next Steps
send a picture of the lesion on teleconsultation to a plastic surgeon or visit one personally.
Health Tips
donot apply homemade medicines on keloid. it may further increase in size.

It’s keloid for sure. Remove the newly pierced earring immediately. Don’t bother about the hole . There is no treatment apart from removal.Or Intra lesional injection is the option. No internal medicine will help to get rid off.I treated such patients in large number. For further advice you can call
