Ear perforation
I am having moderate size ear perforation. My xray is normal and Audiometry test too doesn't show hearing loss. I have consulted 2 drs. One Dr is suggesting surgery. Other is saying not to go for surgery as at times there can be hearing loss. Pls guide

Go for 2nd time audiometry after 3 months Till dat keep ear dry And take multivitamin once daily

Surgery for Ear drum perforation does not cause hearing loss if you already don't have. And a perforation of moderate size will not close without surgery

You have to undergo surgery as moderate perforations don't heal spontaneously.And surgery has got nothing to do with hearing loss.It is done to prevent infections in future.

If perforation is too small less than 5 mm , you can wait. It will heal
