Ear pain...
Hello. My brother woke up with a feeling of fullness in his Right ear. He pinched his nose and tried to open his ear. After a few hours, he started feeling pain in that ear. He said he feels like something is blocking that ear.

Cold, eustachian tube dysfunction or wax can cause ear blockage. Please provide detailed history or get his ear examined by ENT surgeon.

Please get his ear checked by an ENT to know what is causing the problem. It could be wax, infection of due to a cold. Needs to be checked physically.

Was he having flu like symptoms prior to that like runny nose, sore throat etc. if so then it may be a eustachian tube dysfunction with developing acute otitis media. But there is remote chance of sudden sensorineural hearing loss which needs prompt treatment. U should get a detailed consultation at the earliest.
