Ear pain during flight

I get blocked ears and then the pain starts during flight it usually happens in the later half of travel..what to do about it?please help.

People generally experience this during descent due to sudden change in altitudes and closure of estachian tube which regulates the pressures..very common when flying into busy airports or already suffering from cold

to keep the tubes open you need to keep sipping something may be water or a juice etc...

cotton in the ears wont help..do not try to forcefully blow ur nose...

Buy a pair of silicone earplugs (available at all sporting goods stores) and wear it as soon as you board the plane and remove it only when the stewardess opens the doors for disembarking. Drink plenty of hot fluids throughout the journey.
