Ear infection
Recently I pierced my own cartilage in my ear, it was healing fine. However today I felt behind my ear and felt a lump, I pushed the lump and it is very tender and hard. I then realised my ear is very swollen and begun to get scared. I took the pericing out and felt around the lump which was also tender

You may have developed allergy towards the ear stud and usually once you remove the stud and apply antiseptic steroid ointment it will regress. Only other lesion to be ruled out is keloid.
