Ear drops safe during breast feeding
Hi doctors, I have ear infection where pus is coming out and having pain as well. is it safe to take prescribed ear drops during breastfeeding as i have 9 months baby. please advise.

Yes ear drops is totally fine. Amoxiclav antibiotic can be used if you have no known allergic reactions to drugs. Seems like acute otitis media or Otitis externa.

Please keep your ear dry. Do keep a cotton wool inside while taking head bath, however not too inside. avoid cleaning your ear. Antibiotic ear drops will definitely help. 3-5 drops in the affected ear, with correct positioning will help.
