Duphaston in early pregnancy
Been spotting for a week now, went for a transvaginal scan n found a 4wks gestational sac with mild peri sac bleeding and suggestive of a threatened abortion
My doctor suggested I take 2 tablets of 10mg BD of duphaston tablet for 2wks and bed rest
Would this stop my bleeding and allow my pregnancy to progress because no foetal pole was seen
Was told to repeat the scan in another 2wks

It is given to support the conception.but whether it is a healthy growing pregnancy or not it can be assured only after the next ultrasound.

Take complete bed rest. Duphaston supports pregnancy and helps to prevent miscarriage.
Regarding fetal pole it depends on the genetic makeup of the baby.
