Duodenal ulcer
Hi , I had duodenal ulcer 5 years ago and I visited a gastroenterologist he performed endoscopy and my treatment went on from about 2 years . I had 3-4 endoscopy and as precaution I take pro biotic capsules suggested by my doctor. And it has been better . But in last few days I have been getting severe stomach ache which is there for few minutes and goes away and again come back in 15-20 mins. I getting burning sensation while in toilet and there is a little trace of blood in stool. I just wanted to know should I get sonography done or other test done as well . Because in my fathers side there is a history of cancer ( grand father and 2 paternal aunty). So I am a little concerned. And if I Do sonography then which part of stomach ? Please advise

You need to get examined by a general surgeon. Blood in stools is most commonly because of piles. Avoid constipation. Possibility of cancer or other diseases can be confirmed after examination and  sometimes colonoscopy may be needed.
