Hi, chapping of lips can be due to various reasons like dehydration, frequent lip licking, dry weather conditions, use of oral medicines like isotretinoin and application of lip cosmetics that can cause mild allergies.. Kenacort is a steroid indicated for only certain skin conditions. Please don’t use it over the counter on recommendations of a pharmacist.
Next Steps
Try using NMF-e lip balm, or chaptex lip balm as frequently as possible on lips and check if any of the mentioned triggers can be stopped.
Health Tips
Applying a thick layer of vaseline on lip and leaving it overnight can also help the lips heal faster.
