Dry eye problem

I have been suffering from dry eyes for last 5 years. Tried all types of drops and other medications prescribed by various doctors. But no relief. Is there any way to diagnose the real cause and cure it ???

Hello 1. Dry eyes is permanent problem 2. Consult corneq specilist 3. Doctor will do some tests like TBUT, Schirmer test etc 4. If there is dry mouth also then doctor may advise some blood investgations 5. If eyedrops are not helping then depending on severity of dryness....doctor may increase frquency of drops..add new drops like cyclosporine...if still nonrelief then punctal plugs

Dry eyes used to recur intermittently . Usually no permanent treatments. Your eye specialist will match required therapy . He may on occasion switch to other set of medicines or line of treatments. No need to get upset. Stick to one doctor unless there is other compelling reason to change eye specialist.
