Dry coughing and occasional fever
I have been suffering from chronic dry coughing for the past 3 weeks. I had occasional mild fevers in between. Visited local doctor who prescribed some syrup and OTC medications which didn't work. Went to a MD doctor who advised xray. The xray report said inhomogeneous opacity seen in the right paracardiac region. Have been put on antibiotics and syrups and constantly given nabiliser which doesn't seem to help much. The coughing continues and worsens very often. Have done my sputum test results of which are awaited. What could be the reason for such a chronic coughing condition and any suggested diagnosis?

Chest x-ray no convincing abnormality seen .you need a spirometry with reversibility.if it is positive, which is indicative of asthma, then ICS+laba inhalation over prolonged period is needed to control your cough
