Doubt regd mechanised ear cleaning
I will be appearing for AFMC's screening tests, for which aspirants are reqd to get their ears cleaned by a doctor, for an unobstructed view of the eardrum. My question is how much time I would have after a mechanised ear cleanup, after which the earwax buildup would be again significant enough to block the eardrum-view.

There is no defined time for the wax formation , it varies from person to person . If there is wax currently in both the ears then you should get it cleaned and once cleaned thoroughly u can be on a regular follow up of say 1-2 months to check if wax formation has happened again

Wax won't accumulate in 1  week so get  cleaning done a week before the test.

Come down to my clinic. If you do need a cleaning, I am equipped to do it. As for a repeat buildup of wax, if you follow my instructions properly, you will not need a ear cleaning for at least another year.

You can get your ears cleaned by ENT specialist,  a couple days before your screening test

It depends on the speed of cerumen production in your ear canals. Because different people have different types and also different speed of cerumen(wax) production. But I suggest u to get ua ear cleaned only by an ENT Surgeon under otoendoscopic guidance within a weeks time of ua screening.
