Dog took my 3 fingers in it's mouth
I was passing from a place where dogs were fighting. Suddenly a street dog came and took my 3 fingers in it's mouth...as soon as I felt it's teeth on skin I removed my hand. Next I washed it thoroughly and observed it ...I literally don't have even a minute scratch anywhere as I was quick enough to remove my hand. Do I still need rabies vaccination?

Rabies virus can enter though mucous membrane or broken skin . If there is no sign of skin cut & no swelling at that site then there is no need to fear, even than if you like , you may take consultation of your physician & do accordingly

No need for rabies vaccination as there is no scratch but if any swelling or redness is observed after 24 to 48 hours then you have to consult physician and follothe medication advised by physician

If there is no wound or cut on your fingers then no need to worry. If there is even a minor injury or wound then kindly get the vaccination

No, rabies vaccination is not required. Since there was no bite, no scratch, and no break in the skin, this is considered a Category 1 exposure. Rabies is transmitted only when saliva enters broken skin or mucosa, which did not happen in your case. Washing the hand was sufficient.
