Dog bite .
Is it important to clean a cat or dogbite wound ? What if we left it uncleaned, In my brother's case who got dogbite, the doctor asked to leave the wound open and did not even clean it. Later the bitten area got infected and developed sepsis, And he was treated for a long time because the infection was drug resistant. Was the doctor wrong who advised leaving the wound open and uncleaned ?

In case of dog bit / cat bit you have to wash the wound area with running water for 10 to 15 mint . The wound left open and vaccination is done and some other medications given if required . We need proper history of previous vaccination , dog condition , dog vaccination status and level of bite , if want to know more about it then consult me .
