Does rabies antibody enters nerve

Does rabies antibody enters nerve to fight against rabies virus. As nerve don't have blood supply. Then if virus enters peripheral nerve already then how a person survive

All the parts of our body have blood supply either direct or indirectly. Without the blood supply, they will not get nutrients, including oxygen and protection, with the help of antibodies. If there is no blood supply, then necrosis will happen to any tissue, including nerves. As far as the rabies virus neutralization, it is possible until the virus in the peripheral nervous system. It becomes difficult only in Central Nervous System due to the blood brain barrier. Currently, research is also going on to increase the rabies virus neutralization in the CNS by increasing the antibodies concentration in CNS.
