Does high uric acid cause pains?
My uric acid reading is 5.8. Is that high? Do I need to take any medicines/precautions?
I hv been suffering from back pain for a long time and all tests (RA, ANA etc at negative).
I also suffer from knee pain more in the right knee.

Hello ! You are probably suffering from a very critical illness. It is called "self over diagnosis ". The patients have usually minimal symptoms and present with all sorts of reports prescribed to them by various clinicians.

Simple posture training will be good enough to relieve pain along with a bottle of hot water for fomentation. Uric acid causes pain and abnormally high levels are associated with symptoms but 5.8 is a very undernormal value.
