Do i need any medication
Sir, 8months back (oct 2016) I had severe anxiety as I had stopped smoking for 3 months before. I had full body checkup then. My ha1bc was 7.7 and TSH was 7.6. Later in March 1st onwards I was loosing weight from 87 kgs to 81.5 kgs. Doctor advised me for ha1bc which was 11.1 and TSH was 11.0. Doctor started insulin 20 units a day ( morning 12 and Evening 8) from March 19  to 36 units a day ( morning 20 and Evening 16)  till to April 10. Later I got hypoglycemia when doctor increased to 40 units a day ( Morning 22 and Evening 18) later revised to 36 then End of April doctor advised me for C-PEPTIDE test which was 3.5 ng/ml ( Ref 1.1- 4.5)  and GAD Test which was 1.64 ( Ref < 10.00) I stopped from May 1st all Medications and insulin as I had work to go out of City. 4, 5 days the readings were normal. Later deliberately I have stopped till now. Today( June 30) Fasting was 102.. yesterday Fasting was 99. I have checked for TSH yesterday it was 7.68 Plz advise..

You will require to take treatment for diabetes. However, insulin is not needed. It can be managed well by tablets. You need to get the following tests done : fbs, plbs, hba1c,  anti micrisomal antibodies. Based on these tests we can decide on medicines for diabetes as well as thyroid.
