I have acanthosis Nigerians I took a blood test and the result are - FASTING BLOOD SUGAR(GLUCOSE) - 88.1mg/dL HbA1c - (HPLC) - 5.5 % INSULIN - FASTING  -9.71 µU/mL HOMA INSULIN RESISTANCE Index Calculated  - 2.11 QUANTITATIVE INSULIN SENSITIVITY INDEX CALCULATED  - 0.34 Is my acanthosis Nigerians caused by insulin resistance?

Has many causes , better not to jump at conclusions on ur own or internet information, at ur age if u r obese that is a common cause . Other possibilities will be seen only after u visit a physician. Ur sugars and HbA1c is normal so that part is out ..
