My father aged 77, is facing this problem. Whenever he gets up from chair or sleep he feels dizzy and falls down. However this dizziness does not occur when he is walking or sitting. I guess he is suffering from orthostatic hypotension.
Daily he takes the following medicine:
1) Syndopa plus - With symptoms like unbalanced walk and micrographia. Now after medication his walking has become normal. No trembling at all.
2) Ecosprin 150 - blood thinner ( bypass heart surgery happened around 20 years ago)
3) Rapilif 8 mg - prostate
4) Losar H - blood pressure
6) Stemlo 10 - blood pressure
7) Atorva
Lifestyle - he leads a sedentary lifestyle. No activity at all. Drinks very less water.
What should he do to overcome orthostatic hypotension. His vision is fine. Doesn't get the feeling vomiting
