Discharge from anal wound
I had a fistuletomy with internal lateral sphincterotomy surgery 3 months back. The wound is healing, but occasionally, i get bleeding due to bowel movement. My concern is that i still get 1 or 2 drops of off-white mucus discharge from the surgery site. This 1 or 2 drops of discharge have been constant from the time of surgery, and I do not have pain, inflammation, or redness in the area. I got an MRI fistulogram done 10 days back. The report says i do not have a new fistula or abscuss. Does healing and reopening of wound cause this discharge?
