Need your advice.
Internet is confusing. Some articles say FISTULETOMY is a complex procedure and takes longer time for the wound to heal, whereas some other articles say the wound will heal within 4-6 weeks. I had a simple fistuletomy surgery along with lateral internal sphincterotomy about 2 months back where a tunnel of 2cm was removed. Even after 2 months, i feel discomfort and mild ignorable pain. My wound is not completely healed as i have
thyroid based constipation, so i occasionally have hard bowel movements, which cause bleeding. I had bleeding during bowel movement 4 days back. My doctor says the surgical wound has almost healed. Is this bleeding the reason why i have discomfort and mild pain? Does occasional bleeding cause delay in wound healing?
