You should be careful for about one hour. After that you can have a regular bath with water touching anywhere on the body.

If vaccine has been injected and is inside body,no external factor can affect it. Risk is contamination at the site of vaccination, if it is very recent. But after 1 to 2 days, no risk.

No real concern and No effect at all. The vaccine is injected deep into the muscle, and the skin closes quickly. Water, air, or dust on the surface cannot reach or damage the vaccine inside.
Next Steps
Nothing needed if dirty contact happens, just clean gently and observe for redness or pain.
Health Tips
Avoid touching or rubbing, keep area clean, bathing is safe only worry if signs of infection appear.

Don't worry, It is safe. If some water or environmental dust touches the injection site, it does not affect the vaccine’s power . Once the medicine is injected into your muscle, it starts working from the inside, and external water cannot wash it away or reach it.

Absolutely not. Dont worry. If u are much concerned,On the day of administration of vaccine ask the healthcare worker who gives u injection to put a small hansaplast on injection site, which u can remove after 2 hours..the needle wont pierce ur skin so much that the dirty and bacteria effects the vaccine.. Takecare! Have a good day!

Hello, Please do not worry. You can rest assured that environmental dirt or water touching the injection site will not affect the efficacy of your rabies vaccine in any way. Here is why: Deep Delivery: The vaccine was injected deep into your muscle. Once the needle is removed, the tiny track in the skin closes quickly. Anything touching the surface of your skin cannot reach the vaccine or interfere with how your body builds immunity. Water Exposure: Brief contact with water or 'water in the air' is completely harmless. Normal Care: You can continue with your normal daily activities. If the site feels slightly sore or red, that is a common and normal immune response to the vaccine. You have successfully completed your 4th dose, which is a major step in your protection. Just ensure you follow the remaining schedule as prescribed by your doctor.
