Akurit 4 contains 4 drugs namely- Isoniazid (H), Rifampicin (R), Pyrazinamide (Z), Ethambutol (E).
These are generally given for 2 months . IP phase
Akurit 3 contain 3 drugs except Pyrazinamide. Given for CP phase.

Both are given
Akurit -4 needs to be given in first 2 months of TB treatment
Akurit-3 -needs to be given in next 4 months of TB treatment
So, we omit Z in second half of TB regimen
